Senior Ginger was found wandering alone at the beginning of May by some kind-hearted animal lovers. They took her in and reached out to TBR to see if they could foster her through our organization. We welcomed her with open arms, and Ginger settled into a cozy foster home filled with love while she waited for her forever family to come along.

For several months, Ginger enjoyed lazy days and the comfort of a soft bed. Little did anyone know, her real family was out there, missing her and unaware of her whereabouts — until we shared a post about her on social media.

To everyone’s surprise, the post caught the attention of a couple who had rescued her over a decade ago from a garbage dump in Biscoe, NC. Back then, her name was Sadie Mae. They couldn’t believe their eyes — it was their Sadie Mae! With photos in hand, they reached out to TBR, proving she was indeed their long-lost beagle girl.

Today, after four months in her loving foster home, Sadie Mae was finally reunited with her original family. It was the happiest ending anyone could’ve hoped for, made possible by her incredible fosters and the power of social media.
